I've been monking for roughly a month or so (guessing) and #4 is partly true. The monk should make an effort to be in ranges as much as possible.

I don't understand how Glimmer of Light can go through daze uneffected sometimes, but not others. Maybe you can explain that?

Glimmer of Light is affected by daze. However, since it's a 1/4 s cast, daze just increases the duration to 1/2. In PVE (I don't know about PvP), you probably won't notice the difference. Same goes for Patient Spirit.

This is correct, although the post this was in response to had 2 major flaws. First being that the user should ignore the effects of dazed and Second being that Glimmer of Light should be taken over much more useful elites...

Having 60+ energy with no e managent is farrrrrrr worst than having 40+ energy with e management.

Just don't be bad and get debshotted/pleaked/edrained in your highset.

You could, but if the monk still can't manage his energy properly, he'll drain the high e set just as fast.

You really never want to touch the high energy set unless it's dire circumstances. If you don't have channeling up when you switch, or any other form of e-management ready to get you back down, you're going to get stuck in the sandtrap (i.e. once you go into the high, you get stuck by casting everytime you get a small pool of energy and you just can't seem to escape the swapping). If you really get tight on energy, what I do is just save about 5 energy and swap onto my defensive, tell your team as well to swap onto shield sets, it'll reduce damage taken and will basically let you hide energy so in the case of denial you can just stay on the low, than swap up when you need to cast, than go back. Other people's views might differ.
